Chanelle Hayes has shared a bold message about body confidence by embracing what she sees as her “flaws”.
The Big Brother star put a very honest post on Instagram, highlighting her “double chin” and “fivehead” and insisted she is sick of seeing “perfect” images on social media.
Chanelle shared snaps from a recent holiday with her sons Blakely, nine, and Frankie, one, and wrote: “So these pictures aren’t actually very nice of me. Double chin in one, biggest forehead in Yorkshire on the other. But I was loving life in both these pictures and I’m (attempting) to embrace my flaws and post them anyway.”
The mum-of-two continued by saying she finds it “depressing” that so many images shared on Instagram portray a “perfect” life.
The 31-year-old added: “I’m not one of those people who takes pictures specifically for my Instagram with fancy backgrounds or where everything looks 100 per cent perfect. Because I see those pics all the time and it grates on me… nobody has a perfect life so I don’t understand why people only ever portray themselves that way.”
“It’s (beeping) depressing! So enjoy these pics of my double chin and fivehead because I was enjoying life when I took them!”
She included the hashtags: “#reallife #singlemom #parenting #family #singleparent #weightloss #weightgain #love #mumlife #mumofboys #holiday #summer.”
Her message about body image comes after she has been on a mission to lose weight this year.

Chanelle admits her weight has yo-yoed over the years, from a size 8 to 18, but she insists it’s now about feeling healthy, rather than how she looks.
While on holiday last week, she admitted she’s had a “bad six weeks” of diet and has gone from a size 12 to a 14. But the reality star added that she is not going to be “hard” on herself about it.

Chanelle explained: “I have had a really bad six weeks diet and nutrition wise. Totally fallen off the bandwagon and have gone from the size 12 I got down to back up to a 14. I can also tell in myself that I feel softer and have lost definition which is such a shame.
“When I am home I need to get back on it big time as I can feel with every pound gained, a little confidence has been lost. It’s a marathon not a sprint so I’m not being hard on myself, just ready to get back to how well I was doing and focussing back on my health.”
