Chanelle Hayes has declared she’d “rather sit on a cactus” than get back together with her ex-boyfriend Ryan Oates.
The former Big Brother star split from Ryan last year, shortly after she gave birth to their son, Frankie.
At the time, a heartbroken Chanelle lashed out at teacher Ryan on social media, hinting it wasn’t her decision for the relationship to end.
But in an interview with New! magazine this week, the ex-reality contestant said she and Ryan are now on amicable terms and working together to co-parent Frankie and Chanelle’s son Blakely, seven.

“There are two children involved and we’re adults so you just have to get on with it,” she said.
“We talked it through and once we agreed what we were doing with the boys, it was fine. It’s all about the kids. Nothing else is really important.”
But when asked if there was a chance of ever getting back together with Ryan, she bluntly said: “Never. I’d rather sit on a cactus.”
Chanelle added: “I see him nearly three times a week but honestly, so much has gone on, there’s no chance we could ever get back together.”
She told the magazine that Ryan has the boys every other weekend and visits them during the week.
He spent Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve at Chanelle’s house and the former couple are now able to hang out amicably, watching TV or a box set.
Chanelle gave birth to Frankie in August 2017.
She welcomed son Blakely, whose dad is her ex Matthew Bates, in July 2010.
The star previously broke down on Loose Women when discussing her split from Ryan in November.
Chanelle explained how she’d met Ryan on Tinder last February and having a baby together wasn’t planned, although they were both very excited.
“I wouldn’t change my children for the world but it wasn’t in the plan. He was over the moon, really pleased. Both of us were. We had plans together…” as she broke down crying again, she added: “Oh, for God’s sake.”
Chanelle said about six weeks after Frankie’s birth, she first found out Ryan wasn’t happy.
But she insisted: “I didn’t think it was bad enough to break up.”
“It’s horrible,” she said. “I feel like every part of my body hurts and I phone my mum every night crying. It’s difficult but what can I do? I don’t want a pity party.”
“I’m trying to be fair. Ryan’s a really good dad and I’m a really good mum,” she said. “I will be fine, I just need to get myself through this and pick myself up. I don’t want anyone to feel sorry for me.

“Everyone is healthy. The boys have two good parents and it will be fine. I have really good friends and family. I just need to get through this part which hurts.”
In a statement, Ryan told the programme: “Chanelle has presented a selective account of our relationship that doesn’t necessarily reflect the truth. I wish for these personal matters to remain private.
“I will continue to keep my sole focus on doing the best for Frankie and Blakely.”
