Chanelle Hayes tweets her fans as she goes into labour with her second child

There's light at the end of the tunnel after troublesome pregnancy

Most people when they go into labour probably have a barrage of thoughts flying through their brain.

“What do I need to take to hospital?” “Have I left enough food out for the cat?” Oh, and not to mention: “THIS FLIPPIN’ HURTS!”

So it’s hard to fathom how anyone could think to send a tweet during this turbulent period.

But send a tweet is exactly what Chanelle Hayes did as she entered hospital to have her second child.

The former Big Brother star, 29, is expecting her first baby with PE teacher boyfriend Ryan Oates – she already has a seven-year-old son, Blakely, from her former boyfriend, footballer Matthew Bates.

And she seemed excited – and perhaps a bit terrified – as she posed for a picture in the corridor of an unnamed hospital, pointing at a sign saying Ward 26 (Maternity).

She later tweeted the pic to her followers, alongside a caption saying “Eeeeekkkk” and a bunch of concerned-face emojis.

You can understand why Chanelle was full of beans as she prepared to drop – it’s been a long, hard pregnancy for the Yorkshire-born star.

During an appearance on This Morning in June, she explained in vivid detail how she’d been suffering from terrible morning sickness (hypermesis).

“My hypermesis has really been wiping me out,” she told hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford.

“I can throw up nearly 40 times a day. I feel so sorry for my partner and my son, because I’ve just been so absent from their lives.

“I’ve been on a drip in hospital numerous times. It’s been awful. I can’t even explain. It’s been vile.”

She was even given a bucket while she was on the show, in case she needed to throw up.

Well, we’re sure when the baby rears its beautiful head, she’ll think it was worth all the hassle…
