Channel 4’s The Jump could face being axed after 34 celebrities have suffered injuries across the four series.
The skiing show will not be returning next year to take a “rest” after being one of the most dangerous shows on TV.
TV insiders have predicted that the show will be axed completely because the insurance plans and medical costs have become too expensive.

A source told The Sun: “It’s felt like The Jump has been on borrowed time for a while now as the injuries mount up series after series.”
They continued: “The fact Channel 4 have decided against bringing it back next year suggests it’s not a loved property.
“If it was getting big enough numbers or deemed an important show, it would be locked into the schedule every year like The X Factor or I’m a Celebrity.”
It’s also been confirmed that the reality series will be taking a “rest” next year as there is a “huge amount of winter sports” on TV during that time.
A spokesperson for Channel 4 revealed: “The Jump has been a hugely successful brand for Channel 4 over the last four years.
“However, with such a huge amount of winter sport on screen at the start of 2018 we have decided to rest the show for the year.”
Back in March Made In Chelsea star Spencer Matthews was crowned champion of the latest series.
The reality star managed to jump a distance of 18.98m, narrowly beating Olympic gymnast Louis Smith.
The show however was full of injuries and affected several famous faces.
Olympian Sir Bradley Wiggins broke his leg and Vogue Williams injured her knee during training forcing her to pull out before the show even aired.
Beauty queen Amy Willerton was also caught up in a terrifying accident during training.
The 24-year-old crashed while taking on the bob skeleton in Austria for the programme, with medics rushing in to help her.
She told the Sunday People at the time: “I’ve had to grow a pair of balls. We are all bruised and battered now, just like soldiers who are fighting on.
“I looked at the sky after the crash thinking, ‘I’m too scared to move in case I realise that I can’t’.
“The producers said it was the worst crash that they had ever watched. It was a miracle that I got up.”

The blonde beauty added: “It took a lot of will-power to get back to the jumps again.
“I have had a lot more anxiety now. I’m definitely more scared. This is the toughest thing I’ve ever done.
“I keep saying to my trainer James, ‘I can’t jump, give me a moment’, but I am going to keep on.
“I won’t let this mentally knock me because this competition is more about the mental mindset than anything else. Once that goes, you are out.”
The show, which is hosted by Davina McCall, has faced similar situations in previous series too.
Former Strictly star Ola Jordan admitted her leg will “never be the same” and had to undergo surgery following an accident on the 2015 series.
Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle broke two vertebrae in her neck and had to have part of her hip removed after taking part in last year’s series.
