Cheryl hints at pregnancy, possibly expecting twins with family history of multiples

Could it be double joy for her and Liam Payne?

Cheryl is yet to come out and confirm that she is pregnant, but new reports on the subject are now claiming that she could be expecting TWINS.

Sources have revealed there’s a history of multiple births in the singer’s family – and it is a genetic trait.

Apparently, the 33-year-old’s great great great grandfather Joseph Ridley romanced his housekeeper after his wife died and the pair went on to have twins – one of these was Cheryl’s great grandmother.

Cheryl herself discovered the chance she could one day be mum to twins when she investigated her family background for an upcoming episode of BBC One’s Who Do You Think You Are.

A ‘source# has told The Daily Star: “Cheryl is working on the possibility she will have two mouths to feed!”

Aww. And, blimey!

Earlier this week, it appeared the former X Factor judge was letting her appearance do all the talking on the topic of impending motherhood.

She was a guest on The One Show this evening, and there’s no denying that both her face and figure were looking a little fuller.

At points, it appeared as though the Geordie starlet – dating One Direction star Liam Payne – had her hand rested on a small tummy bump.

The 33-year-old looked gorgeous, as ever, dressed in a dark-coloured jumpsuit with giant, distracting buttons.

She was on the show as a Childline ambassador, alongside Esther Rantzen and Chris Hoy, to promote the charity’s new advert and mobile phone app.

Cheryl opened up about her difficult times as a youngster, explaining: “I was actually quite a depressed teenager… just the pressure of going home and your parents wanting you to do well in your exams.

“Your hormones play a huge part in your teenage years of how you feel. I wouldn’t go back to my teenage years for love nor money.”

Host Matt Baker asked what she would have told herself back then if she could, to which she responded: “Not to worry so much and talk more about how I’m feeling.”

She also talked about the foundation she has set up in her home city of Newcastle. “I’ve got a centre that’s hopefully going to help 4,000 per year.”

The big-hearted star also appears in a powerful promo video, which showcases some of the issues the charity is helping to tackle with young callers.

Asked how she was, the singer said chirpily: “I’m great, really well, all good…”
