Reality star Chloe Goodman has begged women to go for their smear tests after revealing she had to have half of her cervix removed because of abnormal cells.
The 25-year-old Big Brother star had to have the procedure following her first cervical screening test.
After her ordeal, Chloe fears she won’t be able to have a baby.
The model exclusively told the SunOnline: “I was diagnosed with grade three abnormal cells which is one stage before cervical cancer.
“It was my first smear at 25 so it was so not what I was expecting.”
Abnormal cells can be caused by the HPV virus, which can be passed on through sex.
However, Chloe explained that after her operation doctors told her that her abnormal cells were not caused by the HPV virus.

She added: “Not everyone has to have HPV to have abnormal cells. It’s just down to genetics. People who have had the HPV vaccine will think they won’t need to have a smear but that’s wrong, you can be like me and generally have the cancer cells.”
She then feared she wouldn’t be able to have a baby with her partner Grant, and she added that “getting rid of half the cervix is more likely to cause an early or premature birth.”
Chloe also said she wants the age that women can be tested to be lowered to 21.
Chloe’s interview comes days after the 10th anniversary of Jade Goody’s death from cervical cancer.

The Big Brother star lost her battle with the illness on 22 March 2009, aged 27, leaving behind her two sons Freddie, 15, and Bobby, 14.
In the lead up to Jade’s anniversary, figures showed that the number of women going for their smear tests has dropped.
Jade’s mum Jackiey spoke out on Good Morning Britain last week to urge women to get checked.
