They’ve been slogging it out for so long, Chris Hughes and Katie Price were bound to start hitting below the belt eventually.
Well, that moment has arrived, with Love Island hunk Chris, 24, reportedly stooping to a new low in his war of words with the Loose Women star, 39.
According to New! magazine, Chris was visiting their London offices when he saw a story on one of their covers about Katie’s bumpy marriage to cheating Kieran Hayler.
And they claim he was only too quick to point out why the relationship was on the rocks.
Taking a blatant swipe at the glamour legend’s looks, he reportedly scathed: “No wonder it’s sexless – look at her!”
Well, the gloves are well and truly off now…
Chris and Katie’s public feud began after Chris appeared on Katie’s show Loose Women.
Soon after, he revealed in a magazine interview that mum-of-five Katie had started sending him flirty text messages, but said he hadn’t replied to them because he’s in a relationship with Love Island co-star Olivia Attwood.

Katie denied the claims, so Chris posted a few screengrabbed examples to his Twitter feed.
He also alleged that Katie had him sent “threatening” voice messages in which she said she’d “destroy” both his and Olivia’s careers.
And in a clear attempt to end the spat once and for all, he posted a rant on Twitter last week in which he warned Katie: “Leave me and my girlfriend alone to live our lives.”
However, if Katie gets wind of Chris’s alleged insult, we doubt she’ll let the matter lie somehow.
And it looks like Chris won’t have an ally in his old Love Island pal Amber Davies.
The brunette, who won this year’s series along with Kem Cetinay, is all too aware of the row, but says she won’t be taking sides.
Speaking to New!, she explained: “I know Chris has his issues with Katie Price at the moment, but I’m trying to stay out of it.
“I love Chris – he’s Kem’s brother – but I get on with Katie, too.

“I saw her at the TV Choice Awards and she was so lovely to me. She was young like me when she started out, so she said whenever I need any advice to message her.
“As for her spat with Chris, I don’t know the facts. For me, as long as [Olivia Attwood] is OK, that’s all that matters.”
