The public spat between Chris Hughes and Katie Price has gone on so long, we’ve been waiting for Jeremy Kyle to step in and sort it all out.
Love Island star Chris, 24, has been at loggerheads with Katie, 39, ever since he revealed on Twitter that the married celeb had sent him a load of “flirty” text messages after the pair met on Loose Women in August.
But it sounds like there might FINALLY be light at the end of the tunnel, with Chris suggesting that he’s ready to bury the hatchet with the former glamour model.
In an interview with The Sun, the Gloucester-born hunk said: “I want to put everything that’s happened behind me.
“I was at the ITV Gala and had a wonderful night – I saw Katie, too, but I’m not going to speak about her any more.”
Well, if Chris managed to remain chilled about being in the same building as his nemesis, the same can’t be said of Katie.
As she was being snapped by paparazzi, the Loose Women star flashed her phone screen, which was showing text messages sent by a ‘Chris Hughes’ (bear in mind that Chris insists he didn’t reply to Katie’s texts).

And when Chris and Love Island co-star Kem Cetinay went up on stage to say a few words, Katie decided to hijack their appearance.
A source told The Sun: “Katie clearly had other ideas about their big moment because as soon Chris started speaking, she shouted ‘text messages’ at him twice.
“The room – which was full of some of the biggest names in TV and top ITV producers – went completely silent and they started shifting awkwardly in their seats.”
So, Katie might not quite be ready to let bygones be bygones, but Chris has his sights set on a more positive future.

And that includes having children – presumably with his girlfriend Olivia Attwood, 26.
The pair fell for each other in the Love Island house, and although Olivia confessed during a Q&A with Storm London yesterday that their relationship had been “testing”, Chris says he’s ready to settle down.
He told The Sun: “I am 24 and am getting on with my life. I want my child to be about 15 when I’m 40, so we can play football in the park.”
Hopefully, this spat with Katie Price might be over by then!
