We reckon Christine Lampard is doing a great job covering for Lorraine.
Unfortunately, she stumbled over her words this morning, and inadvertently swore. Oops.
Christine muddled the word ‘sit’ and ‘shut’ as she was interviewing Coronation Street newcomer Nicola Thorp about her big storyline with Phelan tonight.
Christine made the blunder when she said to Nicola: “I think it was your granny who said, ‘When Corrie comes on, you [expletive] – you have to sit down and shut up’ and I think that’s just the best.”

Poor Christine! That must have been a bit embarrassing seeing as it’s live, but like the true professional that she is she continued without taking notice of it, and probably hoping no one else did either!
Actress Nicola revealed that the upcoming storyline this autumn could “make soap history”.
“If people don’t already watch Coronation Street, now is the time,” she urged. “Because I think what’s going to happen over the next few months will make soap history.
Christine is covering for Lorraine Kelly for a few weeks, as the Scottish regular takes a break.

Christine has filled in for Lorraine in the past and said recently in a statement: “I’m really excited to be back in the hot seat whilst Lorraine is off on her holidays.
“I’ll do my best to fill her shoes for a few weeks and have some fun along the way too.”
The brunette beauty also marked her revival on Lorraine by posting a snap on Instagram on the set of the show.
Many fans were excited to see her return with one commenting on the photo: “I always enjoy the show when Christine is on!”
