Christine Lampard gushes about husband Frank after he wins award

She's so proud!

Christine Lampard has said she’s a “very proud wife” as her husband Frank bagged a prestigious award.

Former footballer Frank, who recently welcomed his first child with Christine, received the Legend of Football Award during a ceremony at the Legends of Football Awards in London on Monday night.

Frank was given the award in honour of his glittering career across domestic clubs including Chelsea and playing for England.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Christine congratulated Frank and called the evening “emotional”.

The new mum wrote: “I managed to move my post pregnant bottom out of the house last night to celebrate Frank being awarded the Legend of Football award.

“A very emotional night not least because a huge amount of money was raised for a remarkable charity Nordoff Robbins. I was a very proud wife.”

At the event, Christine looked the picture of happiness as she enjoyed her first night out since welcoming her daughter.

It marked the first time Christine has been seen in public since giving birth to her first child, Patricia Charlotte Lampard, two weeks ago.

She stunned in a black cocktail dress that fell below the knee and featured a scallop neckline.

The Loose Women presenter also wore a pair of black heels with silver detailing.

Previous stars inducted into the Legends’ Hall of Fame include David Beckham.

The annual Legends of Football fundraising event raises money for music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins, which aims to change the lives of vulnerable and isolated people with music.

Frank, who manages Derby County, said it was a “real honour” to be recognised.

Other stars in attendance included Christine’s fellow Loose Women panellist Jane Moore, who shared a photo of them together to Instagram.

Christine and Frank welcomed Patricia, their first child together, on September 21.

They announced her arrival by sharing a beautiful image to social media showing Christine cradling the newborn in her hospital bed while Frank stood proudly next to them.

Frank is also dad to daughters Luna, 13, and Isla, 11, from his relationship with Elen Rivas.

The couple announced Christine’s pregnancy in May, saying they “couldn’t be happier” to be expanding their family.

They chose to wait until Christine was nearly five months pregnant to make the news public.
