Christine Lampard has said she adores being a stepmum to husband Frank’s two young daughters.
The Northern Irish presenter, who married Frank in 2015, told The Mirror she was thrilled to have such a strong bond with Luna, 12, and Isla, ten, who are Frank’s kids from his relationship with model Elen Rivas.
In a new interview, she was asked about having children of her own and, politely deflecting the question, sang the praises of her stepdaughters.
“If it happens, of course it will be wonderful. If not we have the two girls – and one is about to embark on her teenage years, so that is a whole other chapter about to happen,” she said.

Christine, 39, went on to reveal she was woken up by the girls at 6am on her birthday in February, as they were so eager to give her handmade birthday cards.
“They both wrote the most beautiful cards which made me cry. I couldn’t believe how much they loved me. The wee one wrote ‘I usually start cards with ‘dear’ but this is an extraordinary card for an extraordinary person.’ She is ten!
“She went on to say ‘I love you being my stepmum’ and so I started to cry. I’m proud I have that kind of relationship with them.”
Christine has been with retired footballer Frank for nearly ten years.
He previously told This Morning that he’d waited for a year before introducing his daughters to Christine.
“It’s been a long game and you develop it so slowly,” he said. “But fair play to all of them, I’m the bystander in the situation and try to help and prompt, but the girls love Christine and vice versa.”
At their wedding, the two girls gave a speech to guests about Christine, which Frank said was their decision.
They also went on Christine and Frank’s honeymoon with them.
Christine, meanwhile, has spoken out in the past about constant questioning on whether she wants to have a baby.

She said on Loose Women: “People often ask questions, ‘When are you going to have children?’ and, ‘It’s about time you have a baby,’ without knowing what’s going on behind closed doors.”
“I get asked constantly,” she said.
“I’ve always been very conscious of it with friends who have gone through terrible periods in their life with IVF.
“I’ve always been sensitive of other people’s feelings as you don’t know what’s going on behind closed doors.”
