Christine Lampard has said being a step-mum to her husband Frank’s two daughters has helped her prepare for motherhood.
The Loose Women presenter, 39, is expecting her first child with the retired footballer, who has daughters Luna, 12, and Isla, ten, from a previous relationship.
Christine admitted she’s “relatively relaxed” about becoming a mum for the first time and said she plans to take it “day by day”.

As she discussed filling in for Lorraine Kelly on her morning show over the summer, Christine also spoke about being excited about the next chapter of her life.
She said looking after Luna and Isla has been great prep for the new addition to their family.
Christine said: “I have had the girls since they were four and two and they are 13 and 11 so I have been through all the toddler years, the primary and secondary school bit and teenagers are around the corner, that is preparation, although the baby years is all new to me!
“So I’ll take it day by day really, like every other new mum.”
When asked if she has got everything ready for the new baby, Christine admitted: “I’m relatively relaxed. Because of what I do, and what my husband does, we are always open to change constantly.
“I wish sometimes I was more of a planner, but I don’t seem to have that gene in me.”
Earlier this month, Christine revealed that she’s only bought her unborn baby a car seat so far.
During an episode of Loose Women, she said: “I’m really superstitious and I thought, ‘I’ve got time’. But the one thing I have bought is a car seat..”
As the panel urged her to start adding to her baby collection, Christine said: “Well I’d like to prepare myself to, so that’s one purchase I’ve made.”
Frank and Christine announced they were expecting back in May.
The star revealed Luna and Isla were over the moon when she told them she was pregnant.
Speaking on Loose Women, Christine said: “Oh my gosh they were just… excited doesn’t do it justice at all.
“I happened to say to them that, apparently at this stage, the baby can hear voices so, of course straight away they’re like, ‘I’m your favourite sister’… They’re chatting to my belly the whole time.”

Christine said Frank broke the happy news to his daughters, who immediately contacted Christine.
She said: “They phoned straight away – they’re just so excited. They want a girl, that’s their only stipulation.”
