Countdown to Christmas: Excitement builds with festive TV specials and soap surprises

Share with friends and family to see if you can beat them

With just under a week to go until the big day, is it too early to let the bells ring out for Christmas?

We here at ED! do indeed wish it could be Christmas every day, even if we can live the rest of our lives quite happily never even looking at another sprout again.

We’re more interested in the festive telly schedules than all of the other fuss that goes into Christmas.

For example, the teaser for the Call The Midwife special looks amazing and there’s always something to enjoy from the usual favourites while we’re slumped in  front of the box with the turkey sweats.

Plus, the Yuletide soap offerings look as must-see as ever, with Coronation Street, EastEnders and Emmerdale all serving up some tasty Christmas treats.

However, during the ad breaks – and when all the repeats are on – there’s very little we enjoy more a quick brain teaser to keep the grey matter working over the holidays.

Well, that and the odd fives tins or so of Quality Street, maybe. But that’s all, really… maybe.

Anyway, we’ve come across an ace puzzle designed by GoSimplyTax which challenges players to find a bag of money hidden among a haul of presents.

Can you spot it? And how long does it take you to find it?

If you can’t spy the pressie, the answer can be found by scrolling right to the bottom of this page. Don’t PEEK!!

And remember to share this article with your friends and family to see if you can beat them.

Where’s the cash? Answer: The bag of money is in the lower right of the picture and is the same colour green as the ribbon on the presents.
