Chef Gary Rhodes tragically slipped and hit his head before he died, according to a close friend who was one of the last people to see him alive.
The former MasterChef and Hell’s Kitchen star died aged 59 at his home in Dubai on Tuesday night.
Gary had been working on the day he died and and his passing came as a complete shock.
Fellow chef Vineet Bhatia, who was filming with Gary for a new show last week, revealed to the Daily Mail that he slipped and banged his head in the shower.

“I have been told by friends in Dubai that he slipped and banged his head and was then taken to hospital,” he told the tabloid.
“I wish I could have been there for him. He was such a lovely man. So friendly and enjoying his life.
Yesterday friend and fellow chef Jamie Oliver claimed Gary had died after a “tragic fall” in his social media tribute before deleting the online post.
He replaced the original, saying: “My heartfelt sympathies to his wife, kids, friends and family, sending love and thoughts…
“Gary was a fantastic chef and incredible ambassador for British cooking, he was a massive inspiration to me as a young chef.
There was also speculation among catering workers where he was staying at the Grosvenor House Hotel, that he may have slipped in the shower and banged his head.
