Yesterday, we brought you the exciting news that Olly Murs could be returning as a coach on next year’s series of The Voice.
Well, as one star looks set to carve a career for himself on the ITV singing show, it sounds like another more-established mentor could be heading out of the door.
Will.i.am has hinted that he’s ready to concentrate on other projects after six years in the big red seat.
The Black Eyed Peas star – whose final act, 16-year-old Donel Mangena, lost out to Ruti Olajugbagbe in last night’s series climax – told The Star On Sunday that he’s neglected his own music career since signing up for The Voice in 2012.
And in a candid interview, the 43-year-old admitted that he’s got some big decisions to make in the coming months.
He said: “Now I’m going to get emotional… I haven’t had time to make music. The last record I did was before I did The Voice.
“If I’m going to work with other singers, do I have time to do The Voice again?
“I need to take a deep breath, go into a quiet room, meditate on what I should be doing.”

“So although I love ITV, and it’s been better on this channel… and I love this country because the people are awesome… I don’t know if I will come back.”
In the build-up to last night’s final, Will reacted furiously to critics who’d slammed him for staring at his phone during live shows.
The star claimed that it’s important to interact with viewers in real-time, so that he can relay their feedback to his acts.
He told Express.co.uk: “Why are you complaining that we can finally have dialogue together where I can answer questions? You can give me insights about what you thought of the performance, and I can share that directly with Donel – no middle-man.

“If you’re going to watch us, why wouldn’t you want to have a conversation with us? Is it rude? The whole format is rude. The whole idea of chairs being turned is rude.
“And now, because I’m on the phone talking to you at home… it’s rude? You don’t know what you’re talking about, actually!”
If he does decide to leave, we’ll certainly miss his outspoken style!
