Coleen Nolan did not request for Kim Woodburn to appear on Loose Women in order to make peace, according to her representative.
A spokesperson for Coleen has issued a statement on Wednesday’s awkward episode of Loose Women which saw Coleen and Kim clashing on air before Kim stormed off set in tears.
Kim, 76, has claimed she was invited to appear on Loose Women because Coleen wanted to bury the hatchet after a falling out on Celebrity Big Brother last year.

But a rep for Coleen, 53, has now said: “For clarity – Coleen did not ask for Kim Woodburn to come on the show nor ask to be reunited with her – Loose Women organised the show.
“Coleen has no say in their choice of guests.
“Coleen stayed as calm as possible whilst being insulted live on air which was incredibly unpleasant.”
The statement came after Kim told The Sun she’d like to see Coleen and her sister Linda Nolan, 59, given the boot from Loose Women as she believes they both “mocked” her when she spoke about her abusive childhood.
Kim said: “I was ambushed, it was disgusting. It was like a circus and I was there for some cruel entertainment. I want Coleen and her sister fired.”
The How Clean Is Your House star added: “They should not be on that show. And I will do all I can to get them off it.”
Kim acknowledged the staff behind the scenes on Loose Women “couldn’t have been more kind” to her and she was a fan of the show, but said she was upset at how the events on Wednesday panned out.
Her rep told ED! in a statement: “Kim was invited onto Loose Women as she was told Coleen wanted to hold peace talks with her.
“When she arrived this morning, Kim was briefed and told Coleen would speak first and give her reasons for their row. She was told Coleen wanted to bury the hatchet.”
“However when Kim walked on set, Coleen refused to speak first and made Kim do all the talking. This left Kim on the spot and out of her depth.
“This incident has left Kim incredibly upset and she feels disappointed with what happened.”
A spokesperson for Loose Women said: “Kim agreed to come onto the panel today at the invitation of the producers on the understanding it was for a reconciliation with Coleen.
“Kim becoming upset was never the intention and the panel did endeavour to comfort her.
“She was offered counselling after the show, which she declined.”
As well as issuing a statement on Twitter, Coleen’s rep also retweeted a comment that read: “Go @NolanColeen keeping her dignity whilst under attack by #KimWoodburn on #loosewoman.”
The account also retweeted a comment from Coleen’s son Shane which read: “Well in @NolanColeen , showed what a woman you are. @loosewomen absolutely brilliant TV. #kimisvile.”
Coleen had said on Loose Women she felt Kim came into Big Brother with a game plan to look like a victim.
She claimed Kim “just wanted to have a go at people all the time”, calling her “antagonistic” and wanting rows. “I didn’t tell you how vile you were from day one which I should have done,” added Coleen, “You’re horrible and self-centered.”
Coleen’s sister Linda chipped in to suggest Kim had “no talent”, with Kim replying: “That shows how stupid you are.”
During the show, Kim accused Coleen of making her life “hell” and “bullying her with seven other people” during their time in the CBB house.
She also claimed she’d only come on Loose Women as she’d been paid a “good amount of money”.
Kim spoke about her childhood and how that impacted on her CBB experience, saying: “I’m going to tell you something then I’m going to go. I had a very very sad childhood, I had a brutal childhood…”
As she spoke, Coleen remarked that the CBB housemates had heard the story before, which angered and upset Kim.
When Linda Robson tried to comfort her, Kim retorted: “Don’t be too faced.”
Linda said: “I’m not being too faced, I’m trying to comfort you!”
Kim added: “I had a brutal, rotten childhood. I can’t describe what I went through. I went in that Big Brother house and all the memories of those years came back with the bullying they were doing to me.”
She added: “I was very upset in that house but I pretended I wasn’t. I was terribly upset. They picked on me.”

When asked why she didn’t leave CBB, Kim said: “I wanted the money.”
She added: “I will never forget what the likes of [Coleen] and seven others put me through.”

As the chat became even more heated, Kim got up out of her seat and stormed off, telling Coleen she was a “con artist” and “trash”.
As Kim left the set, the other women defended Coleen, who cut to an advert break.
