Coleen Nolan has recalled how she eloped with now ex-husband Shane Richie to escape wedding planning stress.
The 53-year-old spoke about marrying Shane during a Loose Women panel discussion on Wednesday sparked by the upcoming royal wedding.
Coleen and her fellow Loose Women panellists had been debating how Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have chosen not to invite politicians including Theresa May and Donald Trump to their nuptials.
Coleen said: “When me and Shane were planing to get married, we ended up cancelling whole thing because of the invites, because it was totally taken out of our hands.

“Shane said to me, ‘I can’t do this, there are people going I haven’t even met.’ I hadn’t even met them!
“We were having to leave life long friends out to satisfy family.
“Apparently some woman bounced me on her knee when I was two and my best friend couldn’t come because this auntie I never really remembered was coming.
“So we ended up cancelling the whole thing and eloping.”
Coleen and EastEnders actor Shane, 54, married in 1990 but divorced nine years later.
Coleen announced earlier this year that she’s divorcing second husband, Ray Fensome, after a ten-year marriage.
She said on Loose Women earlier this week: “I think people who say divorce is easy have never been divorced. I don’t think it is easy at all. I think it’s really, really difficult.
“And the ones who say you should really try at it… in my case, absolutely we spent the last two or three years trying to work at it, but there has to come a time where you go, it’s not working for either of us and I don’t want to stay with somebody just because divorce is hard.”

Coleen said that she and Ray are both happy with their decision to separate and moving forward, but she does understand people who have a fear of divorce because they could be left lonely later in life.
She has sons Shane Jr, 29, and Jake, 25, with ex-husband Shane Richie, and daughter Ciara, 16, with Ray.
