Coleen Nolan has said she’s not ready to date just yet after her marriage breakdown, but when the time does come, her children have already put some rules in place.
The 52-year-old announced earlier this month that she’s getting divorced from second husband Ray Fensome, after 17 years together.
And on today’s Loose Women, she was asked whether her children will interfere if she decides to date again.
Coleen is mum to Shane Jr, 29, and Jake, 25, from her marriage to first husband Shane Richie, and daughter Ciara, 16, whom she shares with Ray.

Coleen told the panel: “Oh, I think they will be a nightmare. They’ve already got a few rules in place.
“Shane is 30 this year and said, ‘Mum, it would be lovely if you meet someone when you want to meet somebody but please, please, please don’t date anyone younger than me.’
“That made me feel sick anyway! I don’t want to go out with someone younger than my kids!”
Coleen also spoke about whether she’d ever interfere in her children’s love lives, admitting being seen as an “interfering mum” is one of her worst fears.
“My biggest fear is being one of those interfering mothers and my kids know that so sometimes whatever I say, they’ll go, ‘Are you interfering?’ as they know it’s my fear.
“I would never say to them they should go out with somebody or not go out with somebody, and if they are going out with someone you think is not right you have to let it play out itself.
“It’s their life, not my life.
“Obviously, as a mum I want to be there if it does go wrong for them or to talk to if they’re heartbroken. But I don’t want to be a mum who goes, ‘Oh, I told you so.'”
Meanwhile, Coleen spoke on Loose Women last week about her divorce, saying it was heartbreaking and raw and she wasn’t ready to meet anyone new yet.
“Obviously what I’m going through is heartbreaking and awful at the moment and all very fresh,” she said.
“So, of course, I’m not sitting here going, ‘I can’t wait to meet the next one’ because at the moment I can’t think of anything worse.
“The positive I’m finding from it – if you can find any positive – is that I think, ‘Okay you’ve been in relationships since you were 21. You’re now 52 and going to be on your own.’
“I’m kind of enjoying the independence of it and not having to answer to anyone. And if I want to sit in and drink whatever I want to drink, have a cup of tea and have 20 packets of biscuits, I will!”

Coleen announced her divorce from Ray on February 7, saying the couple had grown apart and their differences couldn’t be healed.
She said they’d fought hard to salvage their relationship but after a “hellish” time had mutually decided to split.
