Coleen Nolan’s son Shane has defended her following that explosive reunion with Kim Woodburn on Wednesday’s Loose Women.
If you missed the episode – which received more than 3,000 Ofcom complaints – viewers saw Kim storming off the show in tears after a furious row with Coleen.
Following the incident, Shane took to Twitter to criticise Kim, 76, for the way she acted towards his mum.

After the show aired, Shane tweeted: “Well in @NolanColeen , showed what a woman you are. @loosewomen absolutely brilliant TV. #kimisvile.”
But after some disagreed with his tweet, Shane wrote in a now-deleted message: “The people thinking that was bullying are just as [expletive] stupid as Kim Woodburn. She went for Linda [Robson] straight away, then my mum.
“You have been conned by Kim, she’s an absolute fruit loop. How can people not see it ? #loosewomen.”
Replying to one follower, who called Coleen a “bully”, Shane replied: “What programme were u watching? Kim went for them straight away, my mum had to reply.
“I actually agree it should of just been my mum and Kim , but to call her a bully is just being a [expletive]. Because she is far from that.”
Speaking to another person who also called Coleen a “bully,” Shane said: “I honestly don’t know how you can say that. She didn’t say anything, nobody cud get a word in.
“But think what u want, I will go to bed tonight thinking of you all in white stood by a fountain (sic).”
But after being criticised for calling Kim a “fruit loop,” Shane apologised.
He wrote: “I apologise for my fruit loop comment , if it caused offence to anyone then I’m truly sorry.”
Shane also insisted his mum won’t be apologising for the incident.
He replied to a fan, saying: “There won’t be one I don’t think. She’s not on [Loose Women] till Friday anyway. Kim being on was nothing to do with my mum.
“The only apology should come from the producers. Anyway I’m bored talking about the same thing.”
Following the awkward interview, Kim released a statement saying she felt “incredibly sad” and “disappointed” over the incident.
Kim’s rep said: “Kim was invited onto Loose Women as she was told Coleen wanted to hold peace talks with her. When she arrived this morning, Kim was briefed and told Coleen would speak first and give her reasons for their row. She was told Coleen wanted to bury the hatchet.”
“However when Kim walked on set, Coleen refused to speak first and made Kim do all the talking. This left Kim on the spot and out of her depth.
“This incident has left Kim incredibly upset and she feels disappointed with what happened.”
Meanwhile, a rep for Coleen said: “For clarity – Coleen did not ask for Kim Woodburn to come on the show nor ask to be reunited with her – Loose Women organised the show.
“Coleen has no say in their choice of guests. Coleen stayed as calm as possible whilst being insulted live on air which was incredibly unpleasant.”
The statement came after Kim told The Sun she’d like to see Coleen and her sister Linda Nolan, 59, given the boot from Loose Women as she believes they both “mocked” her when she spoke about her abusive childhood.
She said: “I was ambushed, it was disgusting. It was like a circus and I was there for some cruel entertainment. I want Coleen and her sister fired.”

After Kim’s demand that Coleen should be fired, Shane tweeted: “Wait, wait a minute, what’s that sound, that’s the sound of my mum skipping down the halls of ITV because she hasn’t been sacked.”
A spokesperson for Loose Women has said of the incident: “Kim agreed to come onto the panel today at the invitation of the producers on the understanding it was for a reconciliation with Coleen.
“Kim becoming upset was never the intention and she was offered counselling after the show, which she declined.”
