It’s fair to say Coleen Nolan has become a firm favourite over the years.
Starting out as a singer with her sisters in the chart-topping girl band The Nolans, Coleen has gone on to have an incredible career spanning over four decades.
From reality show stints to becoming a Loose Women, Coleen is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon. She’s even back on the telly on Saturday (December 23) for a celebrity special of BBC’s The Weakest Link.
Away from the glitz and glam of showbiz life though, Coleen’s love life has been rather rocky – something she has made a joke about plenty of times over the years.

Coleen Nolan and Shane Richie
Coleen and EastEnders legend Shane Richie were one of the showbiz world’s golden couples back in the ‘90s.
The pair started dating in the late ‘80s and ended up eloping to Florida in 1990 to make things official and tie the knot. They welcomed their first child together, Shane Jr, in 1988, and in 1992, they had their second son Jake.
But Coleen didn’t get her happy ending as the couple were soon hit with infidelity claims – something Shane eventually confessed to.
In 2018, she spoke about her regret for staying with him after she found out he had cheated on her. She told the Big Issue: “I stayed two years too long. But I was massively in love with him. To me, there was nothing missing in our relationship.”
Whereas Shane admitted there was “no excuse” for his behaviour – especially as at the time he presented a wedding-themed show, Love Me Do. “What I did to Coleen was unforgivable and I could never apologise enough,” he once said to The Guardian. He added: “And I was pulling the wool over the public’s eyes, so what do you think was going to happen?”
Ray Fensome
After Coleen was left heartbroken over her split from Shane, in 1999 she started dating Leeds musician Ray Fensome.
She eventually birth to the couple’s daughter, Ciara, in June 2001 and four years later they became engaged.
The couple tied the knot in November 2007 and they seemed to have a happy relationship for around a decade before they called it quits.
Coleen announced in 2018 that the two were divorcing. Writing in her column for Mirror, Coleen wrote: “Me and my husband Ray are divorcing.
“I’ve got tears pouring down my face as I write this. It’s hard to imagine that so much could have changed from that day in 2008 when we married.”
Coleen Nolan met Michael on Tinder
After her split from Ray in 2018, Coleen ventured out into the world of online dating.
She ended up matching with future beau Michael on the dating app Tinder. According to Coleen, she “swiped first” and the two instantly matched.
They started dating at the beginning of 2021 but chose to not move in together and take things slow. Earlier this year though, it was confirmed that the two had ended things.
However, just weeks later it was revealed that the two had rekindled their romance. And things have been going that well for the pair, that Coleen revealed Michael Jones is set to move in next year.
Speaking to Bella magazine, Coleen said: “We never officially lived together, but my daughter Ciara’s going travelling with her boyfriend Max in January. I don’t know how long for, but they both live with me, and so once they go off in January, we’ll probably move in then.”
