Childhood sweethearts Coleen and Wayne married in Italy in June 2008.

They tied the knot at the 17th century Villa Durazzo in Santa Margherita Ligure, before celebrating with a reception at a nearby 700-year-old former abbey.

The couple’s marriage hit the headlines last year after Wayne was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.

He was stopped by police as he drove another woman home in her car.

Weeks of speculation followed about the state of the Rooneys’ marriage, before Coleen silenced the critics with a candid Facebook statement.

She told fans: “No, I’m not taking Wayne back as he’s never left. Yes, it has been a [bleep] time, and yes, time was spent apart and I thought my marriage might have been at an end.”

“It’s my decision …. do I love Wayne … yes I do. If I didn’t then I wouldn’t be trying to make it work,” she continued.

“I know I would be fine on my own, with just me and my children, but I don’t want to live like that, I want to try and continue our marriage and live as a family, because that’s what I want to do.

“I’m not saying everything is fine and forgotten about, but we are as good as can be at this point, I’m not the type of person to put a show on and say we’re all loved-up….I’m just real.”

The couple have four children: Kai, eight, Klay, five, Kit, two, and baby Cass, who arrived in February.

Coleen recently rubbished claims she and Wayne would mark their ten-year anniversary by renewing their wedding vows.

She told OK! magazine: “It is nice to do, but at the minute it doesn’t seem that long ago that we got married. So we’re not planning it in the near future.”

The couple will, however, be spending the big day together – for the first time in ten years!

Coleen explained that Wayne was always playing with the England team on their anniversary, but now he’s retired from international football, they’ll be able to celebrate together.
