Coleen Rooney has vowed she’ll return to the UK as soon as her husband Wayne’s two-year footballing contract in America finishes.
The 32-year-old is in the process of uprooting her life and moving with the couple’s four children from Cheshire to Washington D.C., where Wayne, 32, has signed for D.C. United.
It’s a dream move for many but as far as Coleen’s concerned, it’s only ever going to be a temporary relocation.

She told Reveal magazine: “We’re not going forever. He’s got the contract and then after that, we’re coming home – that’s the nice thing about it.

“While we’re there, we’ve got to enjoy it and make the most of it. People keep saying, ‘You might love it that much you don’t want to come home.’ But home for me is home.
“I know I’ll definitely want to come back by the end of it.”

Coleen has yet to make the full move over to D.C., although Wayne has been out there for a while and already playing with the team – and impressing!
She’s got plenty to do before she leaves – packing up the house and their four children’s belongings.
They’re parents to sons Kai, eight, Klay, five, Kit, two, and baby Cass, who was born in February.
Coleen recently admitted the move hasn’t been without its concerns.

In an interview with The Mirror, Coleen admitted: “My eldest [Kai, eight] is so outgoing he is fine – you put him anywhere and he will get on with it.
“But my five-year-old loves home and being comforted. He said, ‘What are my friends going to do without me?’
“But they are young enough to adapt to it – and there are so many school holidays anyway.”

Coleen recently flew over to D.C. with eldest son Kai to explore their soon-to-be-hometown with Wayne, sharing pics to social media of their time together.
Wayne has said in previous interviews he chose to work in D.C. rather than New York or Los Angeles as it offered a quieter, more family-friendly environment.
