Coliesa McMillian, who appeared in the reality show My 600-lb Life, has died at the age of 41.
The reality star’s family confirmed the news today (Thursday, September 24), with a relative telling TMZ she died at a hospital in Louisiana on Tuesday (September 22).
How did Coliesa McMillian die?
Coliesa’s death comes months after she had weight loss surgery. She got an infection after her op and doctors put her into a coma.
And according to her family, she was starting to recover.
Her exact cause of death has not been revealed.
Coliesa was on TLC reality show My 600-lb Life earlier this year.
On the programme, she said she weighed almost 46 stone and had overeaten for her whole life as a way of coping with trauma.
But she wanted to lose weight for the sake of her children.

Before appearing on the programme, she had a heart attack and her fiancé died in a car crash.
She underwent surgery earlier this year. However, she was put on life support after developing complications.
Some of Coliesa’s stitches burst and she got an infection.

Although she was placed on a ventilator and put into a coma, by April she was reportedly in a stable condition.
Speaking to The Sun earlier this year, daughter Hannah said of her mum’s recovery: “She’s doing fine she just has to learn how to do it all again.

“She was [in intensive care], but not anymore. She’s in the hospital still but she’s doing a lot better.”
Coliesa leaves behind daughters Hannah and Sadie Gail Marie McMillian, Victoria Noel Lee and Kadelynn Lee.
