Declan Donnelly and his wife Ali Astall have confirmed their first baby is due in September.
The excited parents-to-be admitted at the weekend’s TV Baftas that their due date can’t come soon enough!
Ali, 40, told The Mirror: “I just wish it would come out now, that we could fast-forward to having the baby. We want to get on with it – we can’t wait.”
The Australian talent manager showed off her baby bump in a silver sequin floor-length gown at the ceremony, while Dec looked dapper in a tux.
The presenter was delighted to pick up the award for Best Entertainment Programme for Britain’s Got Talent along with judges Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon.
The show’s stars are currently preparing for the live shows at the end of May, where Dec, 42, will present without usual co-host Ant McPartlin.
Amanda, 47, said the presenter, who is in rehab, will be missed but added: “Dec will do a sterling job – and me and Alesha will be on hand to step in. Mand and Dec has a good ring to it!”
Dec will then be able to take a break to focus on preparing for parenthood after a busy period filming Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway and BGT.
He and Ali confirmed in March that they are expecting their first baby after the news was leaked.
Dec wrote on Instagram at the time: “Just wanted to say thank you for all the lovely messages. The news has sneaked out a little earlier than we had hoped but Ali and I are delighted to be expecting our first child. Thanks for all the love, we really appreciate it.”

The couple got married in 2015 after they first starting dating in 2013.
Meanwhile, a special show is currently being filmed to celebrate Ant and Dec’s 30 years in showbiz this year.
It is not yet know when the programme will air, but Peter Andre let slip the details in his New! magazine column last week.
He said: “Last week I filmed a TV segment for Ant and Dec’s 30th anniversary, which was good fun!

“I’m unsure when it will air, but it was great to take a trip down memory lane and remember the great things I’ve been involved in with the boys over the years.
“Everything from living above them 22 years ago when they were PJ and Duncan to appearing in various shows with them.”
