Just days before the live final of injury-hit Channel 4 reality show The Jump, one of the remaining contestants has pulled out.
The reason for the star’s departure was just given as “personal reasons”, with no further information offered.
The final had been due to star Made In Chelsea’s Spencer Matthews, Olympic gymnast Louis Smith, Paralympian Kadeena Cox, journalist Emma Parker Bowles, ex-rugby pro Jason Robinson, former Wales international Gareth Thomas and model Amy Willerton.
But now Gareth Thomas has left the show.
A source revealed to The Sun that “Gareth was devastated to have to leave. He’s had the time of his life and thought he was in with a shot of winning.
“He left due to personal reasons and has travelled back home from Austria to be with his family.”

Lydia Bright, who was eliminated in a jump off with Gareth last week, is going to return to complete the final line up.
After the news was announced, she tweeted a picture of herself back in the snow saying:
“Yes it’s true. Big boots to fill.. I can’t believe this is happening right now!Making it through to the FINAL of The Jump is INSANE.”

Thomas had approached the show with a fearless attitude and had been one of the front runners to win.
Last week he caused a bit of a stir by wearing a rather revealing outfit on screen.
