Former contestant Simon Searles has said that the best way to approach the show is to “welcome drama.”
The new line up includes Dani Dyer, daughter of Danny, West End star Samira Mighty, and model Eyal Booker.
The contestants are set to enter the villa tomorrow, and before they do, Simon has a few words of advice.
Speaking to Ok! Magazine Simon – who was the fifth person to leave the villa last year – advised the group to give the show their all.
“My advice is do what you want, pick who you want, take a real swing for it,” he said.
“Don’t overthink, just be proud of yourself for getting so far and enjoy every minute of it.”
He went on to say that the only way to deal with the inevitable drama of the house is to embrace it.
“Also don’t try to avoid drama too much if it comes your way, welcome it as it will all pay off in the end as you will get to show all aspects of your personality!” he said.
If previous seasons are anything to go by, of course, there’ll be no avoiding drama – once it’s there, it’s there to stay.

But drama can’t guarantee a happy ending – last year’s winners Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies didn’t manage to go the distance. The couple stayed together for a few months after the show finished, but ended up splitting in December.
The new series of Love Island starts tomorrow night.
