Coronation Street vixen Rosie Webster is making a comeback – with Helen Flanagan returning to the cobbles after five years.
The actress, 26, who is now a mother-of-one, will appear on screen from February next year until the spring.
Helen played Rosie in the ITV soap from 2000 until 2012.
Corrie bosses are keeping the storyline under wraps but promised the return will be “eventful”.
Helen said: “I’m so excited to be returning to Coronation Street and being part of the Webster family again.”
Viewers saw teenage temptress Rosie leave Weatherfield to star in a reality TV Show in 2012.
They will see the character surprise her parents when she arrives back to visit them with her sister Sophie, returning from a holiday to Miami.
Helen will begin filming her scenes at the end of the year.
Coronation Street Producer Kate Oates said: “The Websters have missed Rosie and so have we. With Sophie away on holiday with her sister it seemed like the ideal time to bring Rosie back home with her for a visit.
“We are delighted that Helen is as keen explore what Rosie has been up to away from the cobbles as we are.”
