Corrie’s Sinead Tinker is set for a devastating week when she loses the baby she’s carrying.
Sinead is pregnant with new boyfriend Daniel Osbourne’s baby. They’d only been together a matter of weeks before she found out she was expecting.
After making the decision to have an abortion, they ended up realising they couldn’t go through with it and wanted to keep the child and be a family.
But with Daniel’s acceptance letter to study for his MA at Oxford burning a hole in his pocket, things were already looking rocky.
Ken steps in next week to tell Sinead she needs to stop being selfish and let Daniel fulfil his academic potential rather than holding him back in Weatherfield.

He’s pretty harsh as he tells her she’s just a factory girl and Daniel can do better.
Sinead responds to Ken’s tirade by breaking the news about her pregnancy, stopping him in his tracks. As Daniel steps in and tells his dad he has no plans to go to Oxford and leave Sinead and his new family, Ken pleads with him to reconsider.
Feeling guilty at what she’s asking Daniel to give up, Sinead’s torn, and walks away from the discussion.
Realising he’s been a little bit mean (just a tad!) Ken apologises to Daniel, who implores his father to understand how much he cares about Sinead and their baby.
Heading off to find Sinead, Daniel is heartbroken when she breaks the news to him she’s suffered a miscarriage.
He hugs her tightly and promises they’ll get through this together, but she tells him he’s free to go to Oxford now, with nothing to hold him back.
Will he really leave her behind?
