There’s more baby tragedy lined up in Coronation Street next week when Leanne Battersby and Nick Tilsley rush to hospital with baby Oliver.
Nick and Oliver’s real dad – Steve McDonald – have a furious showdown when Steve fails to show up for an evening of bonding with his son.
Meanwhile, Leanne discovers a rash on the baby’s back.
Steve then take Oliver to the beach for the day. This sparks another argument when Michelle discovers he spent the day with his new son, on the beach where their dead baby Ruairi’s ashes are scattered.
Tired out from all the rowing, Leanne heads home with Oliver, but soon discovers the baby is barely conscious.
Terrified, Nick calls an ambulance. While Leanne frets about what will happen to the baby, she tells Nick to let Steve know what’s going on.

Nick’s nose is put well and truly out of joint and he fumes that Leanne has asked for Steve to be there. Very mature, Nick.
Meanwhile, Olly is taken away by a nurse and Nick and Leanne are left waiting for news on the tot. Will he pull through?
Let’s hope so, it would be pretty unfair for Corrie bosses to let Steve lose another son so soon after Michelle’s tragic stillbirth earlier this year.
Kym Marsh, who plays Michelle, won huge praise for the heartbreaking scenes in which she gave birth to a baby she knew wouldn’t survive.
She was handed a double whammy of devastation when she found out that hubby Steve was actually the secret baby-daddy of Leanne’s newborn, which – unsurprisingly – led to them splitting up.

Nick has been seething away in the background as Steve, determined not to lose another son as well as his wife, has pushed to be in Oliver’s life.
Will this lead to Steve and Leanne growing closer? We know that Nick is on his way out of Weatherfield this summer, could this be the beginning of the end….?
