Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh has proudly showed off the results of her son David’s amazing weight loss journey.
The actress, 42, posted two photographs side-by-side of her 24-year-old son wearing identical outfits, but looking noticeably slimmer.

Thrilled at his success in getting fitter, Kym wrote: “I am so so so so sooooooooo proud of my son!!! Just look at the difference!!! @cunliffe890 you have absolutely smashed it kiddo! You look fantastic!!! (sic)”
Fans were quick to heap praise on David. One wrote: “Looks like a different person, well done.”
While another added: “Fantastic mate, that’s what hard work does, keep it up #anythingispossible.”

However Kym, who is soon to become a grandmother after she revealed her daughter Emilie Cunliffe, 22, is pregnant with her first child, was forced to apologise for some of her son’s friends.
She wrote: “To anyone in this message thread that got a message from my @cunliffe890 he apologises as one of his friends took over his phone and made comments back that David is unhappy about. I apologise on his behalf.”

The former pop star also opened up about being rushed to hospital after being bed ridden “for days”.
Writing in her OK magazine column, she said: “I felt so awful I had to go to the Alexandra Hospital in Manchester. I was shaking, I felt terrible and like I’d been hit by a truck.
“They ran lots of tests on me and I’m still waiting for the results. Doctors think it could be Salmonella poisoning, which is really serious.”

Kym, who has played landlady Michelle Connor on Coronation Street for 13 years, also revealed earlier this year that she is quitting the soap.
Speaking about her exit, she said: “I’ve loved every minute of working there and I’ve made some great friends at work but now feels like the right time for me to take a break and spread my wings.”
