Just when we all thought that Corrie’s Michelle was about to fall into the arms of besotted Robert, Kym Marsh has hinted that Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan could be a possible love interest for her heartbroken character.
The loudmouth presenter recently confessed that Kym was his favourite “soap pin-up” and his dream was to tread the cobbles and be her on-screen lover.
And he’d obviously given it some proper consideration, pitching: “Here’s how I see this playing out.
“You and Steve are obviously going to break up over the love child.
“It’s going to happen.”
Now the actress star told OK! magazine that she could actually “see that happening”.

The 40-year-old said: “Piers Morgan’s revelation that I’m his ‘number one soap pin-up’ came as news to me when I was on Good Morning Britain last week.
“Susanna Reid had to rein him in – she always does!”
The soap star added: “Piers was joking that he’d like to be my love interest on Corrie – I can see that happening as a laugh for something like Comic Relief.
“But I can’t see him as a permanent member of the show – he’s far too posh.”
She then went on to write in her column: “I first met him when I was on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories in 2010 and we’ve got on ever since.”
Kym visited the GMB studios to discuss her latest storyline in Corrie.

The actress has earned tonnes of praise for her portrayal of Michelle Connor, who suffered a tragic stillborn birth earlier this year.
Kym explained that the storyline hit close to home because she lost her son, Archie, in similar circumstances.
Despite talking about the difficult storyline, Piers definitely tried to flirt with Kym throughout the chat.
Even though Kym expressed her admiration for her real life boyfriend, Matt Baker, it didn’t stop Piers putting himself forward as a potential partner for Kym’s character.
Nice effort, Piers.
