The couple shared their experiences of becoming new parents with OK! and revealed the worrying details of Racheal’s labour.
Mikey said: “The labour lasted around 20 hours. But it was just constant. There was no respite.
“I thought there would be some chance to rest. It was just full on for nearly a day. But I just felt so proud of Rachael.”
The couple were left terrified when Racheal’s labor resulted in a near-blood transfusion after an episitomy went wrong.
Racheal said: “I had to have an episiotomy but unfortunately they cut through a vein and I lost one and a half litres of blood.”
The actor described the scene as something from the “chainsaw massacre”.
He added: “She was throwing up with the pain,” he said. “I had tears in my eyes just watching.”
The couple, who have said being parents is the “best thing ever”, discussed how they came up with baby Archie’s name.
30 year-old Micky told OK!: “We had massive arguments and just couldn’t agree at all.
People were quick to take to Twitter to announce the news showing the photo.
