Coronation Street’s Brooke Vincent was rescued by firefighters after getting stuck in a hotel lift for 40 minutes.
The actress, who plays Sophie Webster on the ITV soap, found herself having to press the emergency button for help after the lift at her Manchester hotel stopped on Friday night.
Brooke’s rep told The Mirror: “Brooke was staying at a hotel in central Manchester, and the lift did get stuck as she left.
“She took it all in good humour, and was out within 40 minutes.”

The 25-year-old hasn’t referenced the incident on her social media accounts, and instead posted a photo yesterday showing her looking glammed up and gorgeous for another night out.
Wearing floor-sweeping red flared trousers and a plunging white top, the actress captioned the snap: “My ‘the camera isn’t playing’ ‘I want a drink’ face.”
A source told The Mirror that Brooke had been descending in the elevator alone on Friday night en route to a night out.
When the lift got stuck she pressed the emergency button to alert staff, who then called the fire department.
The insider said: “She was fine and kept her cool as she had her mobile with her. Firefighters were called and Brooke made her way out safely, laughing it all off.”
Brooke wasn’t laughing, however, when she tried to book a hotel for her pal’s wedding in Lake Como, recently.
The brunette star took to Twitter the day before her lift woes to lament leaving it so late when it came to planning where she’ll stay that the only hotel available is nearly four hours away.
She tweeted: “Only I could be attending a wedding in Lake Como & book a hotel 3hrs56mins away!!
“They are fully booked!! Last min Larry over here!!”

Brooke, who recently unveiled a new hairdo after deciding to get a fringe, didn’t mention whether she’ll be bringing footballer boyfriend Kean Bryan, 20, with her.
The couple, who posed for a cute selfie together last week, have been dating since 2016.
While they’re happy to share the occasional snap of each other on social media, Brooke has vowed she won’t be gushing over Manchester City star Kean in interviews
She explained to OK! magazine: “There’s not a reason I don’t like talking about it – it’s just the less people know, the less they can comment on.
“I think it’s where I went wrong [before].

“You see things differently as you get older and it’s just hard to then keep being reminded of the past.”
Brooke was previously in a four-year relationship with Brentford FC footballer Josh McEachran.
