Countryfile star Matt Baker has quite the fan in former co-host Julia Bradbury.
In a new interview with Entertainment Daily, she has opened up about her friendship with her former on-screen “husband”.
Julia left the hit BBC One show back in 2014, while Matt still fronts the much-loved show.
Former Countryfile host Julia told ED! she and Matt are “still very good friends” and, she confirmed, he’s still her favourite TV husband.
What did Julia say about Countryfile host Matt Baker?
Matt has hosted the show since 2009.
Julia told us: “Matt and I are still very good friends.
“He is godfather to one of my twin girls, so we’ve not lost touch and get together whenever our crazy schedules allow.”

Julia is mum to three kids – son Zephyrus, nine, and five-year-old twins Xanthe and Zena with partner Gerard Cunningham.
Asked if Matt is still her favourite TV husband, Julia confirmed that he is indeed.
“Of course,” she told us.
“He is genuinely a lovely guy and Nicola, his beautiful real wife, is very lucky.”

‘Walking man’s crumpet’
She also opened up about being labelled the “walking man’s crumpet” thanks to her love of the great outdoors.
Does she think it’s sexist?

“It’s a compliment,” said the star who has just launched her own Outdoor Guide Gin.
I do have a new very exciting project and we are about to start filming. I can’t say any more but watch this ‘outdoor’ space.
“The same as Alan Partridge saying that he would like to have a Bradbury pie.”
Julia, who turned 50 in July, added: “Let’s see if they say the same when I’m 60!”
Return to Countryfile?
Coming up next for Julia is a “very exciting project”, that she’s sadly remaining pretty tight-lipped about.
“I do have a new very exciting project and we are about to start filming,” she said.
“I can’t say any more but watch this ‘outdoor’ space.”
Could a return to Countryfile – and Matt’s side – be on the cards?
After all, last year she revealed she “would be thrilled” to return to the BBC show…
