Dancing On Ice’s Jason Gardiner blasts Matt Evers after his apology

He's not happy

Matt Evers apologised to Jason Gardiner after he suggested the Dancing On Ice judge might have sold stories on Gemma Collins, but Jason is still clearly upset and criticised Matt in a tweet today.

Matt, who is paired with Gemma on DOI, posted a public apology to Jason last night (21 January) admitting: “I totally got my wires crossed.”

However, Jason doesn’t seem impressed with Matt’s turnaround as he posted a disgruntled tweet this afternoon (22 January) insisting the professional skater was “uninformed” and trying to “defame” him.

Jason, who has previously denied the accusations, tweeted in reply to a fan: “Matt is uninformed & propagating lies to try & defame my character. For the record @ITV knew about @TheSun interview & have emails to prove it. I have an incredible PR agent who informs @itvpresscentre about every interview I give. #DontBelieve[BLEEP] #honestjudge.”

The 42-year-old judge also thanked those who have been supporting him amid the backlash, after his fall out with Gemma on the show.

The Only Way Is Essex star accused Jason of “selling stories” about her on Sunday night’s episode of DOI.

Jason wrote: “Back in the real world… Thank you so much for the outpouring of love & support I’ve received. I am overwhelmed by it. Faith has been restored as we stand united against such appalling behaviour! #honestjudge #KeepItReal #TruthPrevails.”

It comes after Matt speculated about the drama on Heart Radio yesterday but then later apologised to Jason.

Matt, 42, tweeted: “Always own up to your mistakes! I just want to say sorry to Jason as today on Heart FM I intimated he sold stories to a newspaper. I totally got my wires crossed and I apologise. It’s been one hell of a 24 hours!”

ED! has contacted a representative for Dancing On Ice for comment.

Let’s hope all the tension has died down by next Sunday’s episode of the show!
