Dancing On Ice pro skater Matt Evers has waded into the feud between Antony Cotton and James Jordan.
As ED! reported, ex Strictly dancer James posted some rather unflattering tweets about Coronation Street’s Antony earlier this month, after watching him compete on Dancing On Ice.
Among the tweets James sent was one reading: “Is it just me but he does seem like he could be a right pain to work with. Doesn’t come across likeable at all.”
Well, now Matt has jumped to Antony’s defence.

Writing in his new Best magazine column, the skater said of Antony: “All I can say is, when he wasn’t screaming at Jason Gardiner (all obviously panto), he seemed a very caring person to me.
“He’s been in showbiz a long time and he’s put some walls up, but sometimes you have to.”
Meanwhile, Antony’s Dancing On Ice partner Brandee Malto also defended him.
She tweeted: “Judging a person does not define who they are. It defines who you are. Antony is loving, caring and kind. He has a beautiful soul and I love that we are good friends now. My journey on Dancing On Ice has been amazing because of him.”
Antony, who plays Sean Tully in Corrie, and Brandee were eliminated two weeks ago.
It was Antony’s exit that prompted the tweets from James, kicking off with one saying: “Watching @dancingonice and Anthony Cotton just got destroyed by the judges but justifiably.
“Also, is it just me but he does seem like he could be a right pain to work with. Doesn’t come across likeable at all.”
James also retweeted a fan who wrote: “It makes me so uncomfortable to hear him talking back, the judges are there for a reason!”
And added: “Yep! He needs to ‘Turn up, Keep up and Shut up’.”
Antony then waded in, saying: “Currently doing two jobs at the moment, so please don’t worry about my career. As for wondering what I’m like to work with, maybe take the guess work out and ask @YayItsBrandee?
“I don’t think you’ll find the answer you’re looking for. Trolls rarely do.”
The soap star made it to week seven of the revamped Dancing On Ice, where he and Brandee were sent home in a double elimination alongside Donna Air and her partner Mark Hanretty.

Over the weekend, the competition said goodbye to another couple – Good Morning Britain’s Alex Beresford and partner Brianne Delcourt.
They landed in the skate off against Kem Cetinay and Alex Murphy, with the judges choosing unanimously to save Love Island winner Kem.
