Dancing On Ice’s Matt Evers says Holly Willoughby was “terrified” when he suggested she skate

Erm, we think Holly might have something to say about that!

Watch out Phillip Schofield, it looks like one of the skating pros is trying to steal your co-host!

Dancing On Ice professional skater Matt Evers might have already been voted off the show with his dance partner, Bake Off winner Candice Brown, but now he has eyes on getting Holly Willoughby on the rink!

In his latest DOI column for Best magazine, the 41-year-old vowed to get Holly actually ice skating.

Matt wrote: “Isn’t Holly Willoughby looking great in all those fabulous dresses? What I really want to see her in is a pair of skates, though.”

Hmm, not sure that’s going to happen if we’re honest, Matt.

He continued: “That’s my current mission. She always looks terrified when I suggest it but, by the end of this series I WILL get Holly Willoughby on the ice.

“You never know, we might even try a headbanger.”

What? Are you mad man?

The headbanger is a daring move that involves a skater being picked up by the feet and swung up and down inches from the ice while their partner spins around in a circle.

In fact, it’s the one move Donna Air has been banned from performing because of her height.

She revealed to The Mirror at the launch of the show: “Apparently I’m too tall for the headbanger, I’ve been ruled out of the headbanger already.”

Not sure Holly is even up for a skate around the rink, let alone a daring move like that!

So far, the only way to get the 36-year-old presenter anywhere near the ice, is when she’s presenting a link with Phillip.

Even then, she’s standing safely on a carpet to stop her slipping all over the place in her glam frocks and high heels.

Phillip has revealed that the duo never wear skates when they are presenting on the ice.

Phil told OK! magazine: “If Holly and I go onto the ice they put white carpet out, and we walk in our normal shoes on white carpet.”

And if the white carpet isn’t used, then their shoes are fully gripped on the soles to stop them both slipping on the ice.

He revealed: “If we have to go out without the white carpet, there are special snow gripper things you put onto the bottom of your shoes.”

Chances of Holly getting on that ice with you Matt?

Zero!
