Cobbles killer Phelan seems capable of anything now he’s finally murdered Andy and Vinnie.
But could his reign of terror be stopped by an unlikely hero – Daniel Osbourne?
The journalist son of Ken Barlow is convinced Phelan’s up to no good, but he’s thinking more along the line of fraud rather than sadistic kidnap and killing! And he’s got no idea just how evil Pat really is.

Those his suspicions are putting Daniel in danger from the latest murderer to stalk the cobbles, actor Rob Mallard who plays the determined journo, thinks Daniel could be the one to put an end to Phelan’s killing spree.

“He’s in critical danger. He doesn’t understand just how dangerous Phelan is,” Rob told The Sun Online.

“At the moment Phelan is potentially a fraudster, but that’s the extent of his crimes in terms of Daniel’s perception.
“He doesn’t realise the extent to which Phelan is capable of going, so he’s very glib with him, very tongue in cheek, feels quite impervious to him actually because they live on the same street so what’s he going to do? He’s quite oblivious.”

But though the danger is real, Rob says Daniel could be the one to stop Pat’s evil campaign.
“I think Phelan should worry about Daniel’s ability to out-think him,” Rob added.

“At the moment, Phelan’s had the upper hand. He’s been able to out-think and out-manoeuvre Daniel but that’s before Phelan was aware Daniel was working against him.
“Now that he’s aware of it, I think Daniel’s pride in what he would view as basically a labourer being more intelligent than him wouldn’t stand for it.
“I think Daniel’s game will be stepping up.”
Let’s hope Daniel stops him fast before the bodies pile up any higher!
