EastEnders’ Danny Dyer is taking some time out from the show to get himself together as his party animal lifestyle takes its toll.
Danny has played Queen Vic landlord Mick Carter since 2013 and is well known for his antics off-screen as well as on.
With it all getting too much, the 39-year old has reportedly held talks with bosses and stopped filming immediately to get control of his life.
He was recently seen drinking at the National Television Awards after falling off the wagon following his attempt to give up booze at the beginning of the year.
A show insider told The Sun Online: “The producers are concerned about him for a number of reasons.
“It was clear to onlookers he appeared very drunk at the NTAs. It is best he takes some time out to sort his life out.
“He appears to be exhausted.”
The meeting with his bosses has resulted in cancelled filming as Danny takes his leave straight away.

The source continued: “Danny is not filming the show at all. There is an enforced break that is expected to last a number of weeks.
“At the end of the day, he remains the biggest star of the show so everyone is determined to get him back to his best.”
It’s good news that the departure doesn’t seem to be permanent. A BBC spokesperson confirmed to Mirror Online:
“Danny is on a short break from EastEnders. This was not enforced by bosses, nor has he quit the show.”
Recent weeks have seen speculation rife that Dyer was going to leave the soap that he once pledged to stay at for 20 years.
Rumours floated around that Mick’s son, Lee Carter, would kill his dad before leaving Walford.
And Danny also revealed he’d like a crack at the Doctor Who gig now Peter Capaldi’s quit.
“I’d be really interested in it. I could see myself in the scarf and all that,” he told the Daily Star.

But his contract on EastEnders runs until at least October.
With actress Kellie Bright, who plays Mick’s wife Linda, on maternity leave, and Lee Carter and Aunt Babe heading off to pastures new, the Carters are looking pretty depleted.
And if both Mick and Linda are out of the picture, what’s to stop Max Banning getting his hands on the pub?
Viewers know Max is out to ruin The Vic and bulldoze Walford. Hurry back, Danny, to make sure you can stop him!
