David Beckham never shies away from showing the world what a hands-on dad he is, whether that’s sharing pics of him trimming daughter Harper’s hair, or having cuddles with his trio of sons.
And the photo he uploaded to Instagram today showed another father-child bonding moment – this time to celebrate middle son Romeo’s 16th birthday.

David uploaded the cute black and white image with the caption: “I can’t believe my little man is 16 years old… Happy birthday big boy you are so special and I love you so much x”
Gulp! How sweet is that?
Romeo could be seen sitting very still as his dad took a razor to his top lip, no doubt while giving him personal grooming top tips with every stroke.
To ensure there were no mishaps with the blade, David had his hand placed tenderly on Romeo’s head as he ran the razor over his son’s moustache area.
Fans of the famous family were quick to show their appreciation for the coming-of-age shot, with one commenter telling David: ‘That’s a lovely moment one of the few spacial father son moments x’.
Another took the opportunity to ask the star for shaving advice for their own teen! ‘My babe is 16 too and needs a shave terribly but my husband says ‘he’s fine leave him alone – once he starts shaving you can never stop! I need some advice @David Beckham.’

Meanwhile, proud mum Victoria didn’t let Romeo’s big day pass without mention, either.
The mum-of-four used her own Instagram account to post a birthday tribute to her son, sharing a picture of the teenager surrounded by balloons, alongside the caption:
‘Happy Birthday @romeobeckham x we love u! @davidbeckham @brooklynbeckham @cruzbeckham #harperseven ❤️’.
Victoria also took the opportunity to share a pic of herself with her son, along with another gushing birthday message:
She wrote: “Happy Birthday Romeo! Can’t believe our baby is 16 today!!! We all love you so so much.”
Aww, this family really do like to celebrate their special days with all the social media love, don’t they? And quite right, too!
