She wrote: “Our lovely Pippy died peacefully in her sleep on Monday… 98 years old.”
“She was like a mother to me.. always there, my moral compass…” she added. “The greatest mother, friend, granny, sister, aunty and such a loving and loyal friend… you will be massively missed.”
Davina was inundated with well wishes and condolences from her fans.
One person wrote: “I am so sorry for your loss! Sending you and your family lots of love.”
Another tweeted: “98!! Wow. Sorry for your loss,” while another said: “Sorry for your loss – big hugs.”
Davina shared an extremely close bond with her granny as she lived with her for a while when she was younger.
During an interview with the Daily Mail back in 2016, Davina said Pippy was “the matriarch and kept the family close.”
Just last year, Davina shared a video of Pippy, who had dementia, reciting poetry on Twitter.
She captioned the post: “Pippy, my granny she can’t quite remember me, but she can recite poetry.”
This isn’t the only loss Davina has suffered in recent years.

Her sister, Caroline, sadly passed away in 2012 from cancer.
Caroline died at the age of 50, just weeks after she was diagnosed with terminal cancer.
Meanwhile, Davina’s father Andrew has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
Last year, Davina opened up to Good Housekeeping magazine about her dad’s “extraordinary positive attitude” despite suffering from memory loss.
She said: “In certain aspects he is getting worse. His short-term memory is a struggle.
“But he is living a great life. When you see the way he is dealing with it, you realise you can’t mope around.”
She also spoke about Pippy at the time, adding: “My granny is very confused but she’s happy. They are both pretty inspirational.”
The mum-of-two also admitted she’s afraid of developing the illness.
She told the publication: “I have called my doctor twice in floods of tears saying ‘I’ve definitely got it’. She told me ‘If you had Alzheimer’s you wouldn’t be calling me about it.”
