Long Lost Family presenter, Davina McCall, recently issued a message to online trolls after they made some unpleasant comments about her weight.
The 56-year-old – back with a new series of My Mum, Your Dad – has been lauded for her contribution to women’s health in recent years, being at the forefront of raising awareness of issues surrounding menopause.
On top of this, she also continues to motivate thousands of fans with her workout DVDs and fitness content on Instagram.
However, back in the summer, the TV personality took to social media to address some far less positive feedback she had received.
Davina McCall claps back at trolls over her weight
In a video posted to her Instagram account, Davina told her 1.8 million followers that she’d been getting some “abuse about [her] weight”.
“It’s really frustrating,” she said through gritted teeth. “I feel like people post these things and they have no consequences because they can post whatever they like and be cruel and I just have to take it and I’m just left sitting feeling furious.”
Davina said she had received some “really horrible” comments directed at her face and neck.

“I’m a 5 foot 6 woman who weighs 61 kilos,” she went on. “I don’t diet, I exercise, I eat relatively healthily and I enjoy sharing that journey with people.”
I feel absolutely [bleeping] great
She then powerfully clapped back: “I’m 57 this year and I’m happy with the way that I look and I feel absolutely [bleeping] great.”
Davina finished up by reminding users to “think before you post something”.
“If you can’t say anything positive, don’t bother,” she added.
Catch Davina on My Mum, Your Dad on ITV1 and ITVX tonight at 9pm.
