Dawn French gets a rather interesting offer on This Morning!

We bet she wasn't expecting that!

Dawn French was on Friday’s episode of This Morning to discuss her new non-fiction book, Me. You. A Diary.

As you’d probably guess from the book’s title, it’s filled with Dawn’s personal diary entries, along with space for readers to fill in their own memories and ramblings.

Dawn also lists her New Year’s intentions, some of which Eamonn read out…

One of Dawn’s resolutions for the upcoming year is to “kiss longer” – sounds good to us!

And to Eamonn, who told her: “That’s very appealing! Who do you fancy kissing?”

Playing coy, Dawn, 60, wasn’t going to answer that and quipped: “Well, you have your missus sitting there so I can’t kiss you!”

No worries, Ruth Langsford’s happy to share!

Ruth made her an offer, laughing: “I don’t mind sharing!”

Dawn then told Eamonn with a laugh: “I would kiss you!”

It was a flirty, fun interview all around – it started with Ruth turning to Dawn, after today’s Loose Women’s male guests were revealed, and asking her: “Isn’t Martin Kemp a very handsome man?”

“Absolutely! A silver fox!” gushed Dawn.

Grumpy Eamonn then chipped in: “Is that necessary? To be sitting there drooling like that?”

Meanwhile, Dawn also spoke about her upcoming Christmas special with best pal Jennifer Saunders, celebrating 30 years of them at the BBC.

“They made a clip show and we didn’t want to be talking heads talking about the clips, as we’re rubbish at that, so we decided to write new material,” she explained.

Viewers of the Christmas Day special will see a clip of a classic sketch, followed a brand new sketch – including one set in Poldark!

We can’t wait!

It will be French and Saunders’ first full comedy special together in ten years.

Dawn, 59, previously teased to The Mirror that viewers can expect funny takes on The Handmaid’s Tale and the plethora of recent reality shows about Brits behaving badly.

She said: “I am shocked by how they behave. You reckon they’d want to meet someone who would love, cherish and respect them.

“But instead they go out and get utterly hammered and are [sleeping with people] in a bush and coming out and going ‘Yes!’, like men.”

French and Saunders began back in 1987 and became one of the most popular sketch shows on TV.

The satire series ran until 2007, with the final series named A Bucket O’ French and Saunders, featuring a retrospective look at old programmes mixed in with new material.

There have also been multiple TV specials over the years, most recently for Red Nose Day 2017, in which they spoofed James Corden’s wildly popular Carpool Karaoke.

But their Christmas Day programme will be a full length episode, rather than brief sketch.

They reunited on the red carpet at last year’s Glamour Women of the Year Awards, where Dawn was on hand to present Jennifer with an Outstanding Contribution prize.

Jennifer accepted her trophy by paying tribute to Dawn.

“I would like to thank my lovely good friend here, Dawn French. Thank you. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for you. You are my inspiration,” she said.

“If I’ve made an outstanding contribution to anything I hope it’s to female friendships.”
