Death of reality star Jeremy McConnell’s father announced

News comes as model shares first picture of him with son

CBB star Jeremy McConnell’s father has passed away following a short battle with cancer.

A spokesperson for the Irish model released a statement today which reads: “On Friday March 3rd, 2017, Jeremy McConnell’s father passed away after a short battle with cancer.

“We ask that Jeremy is given space and privacy at this incredibly sad time.”

Tragically, Jeremy had already lost three members of his immediate family before his father’s death.

When he was just 15, Jeremy’s mother died of a brain haemorrhage.

The following year, his brother was killed in a motorcycle accident. And his epileptic sister died of a heart attack.

In a previous interview with the Irish Mirror, Jeremy opened up about the shocking loss he’d already endured:

“I lived with my mum in County Wicklow, my mum and dad were separated since I was one.

“We were very close. We didn’t have much but she’d make sure I had football boots and we’d struggle for a bit of lunch, she’d be that way inclined.

“When I was fifteen I was at my cousin’s and my mum fell asleep.

“I got back about two hours later and she was gone – she had a brain hemorrhage. Dead on arrival.

“Shortly after that my brother broke his neck off in a motorbike accident.

“After that, my sister had a heart attack – she suffered with epilepsy. All in the space of fifteen months.”

The devastating news comes just as the 26-year-old is enjoying one of the happiest times of his life, celebrating fatherhood.

Last month ex-girlfriend Stephanie Davis gave birth to their son, Caben-Albi.

After months of turbulence between the former couple, they are now concentrating on raising their child.

Jeremy proudly shared the first picture of him cradling his boy in his arms on social media this weekend.
