Declan Donnelly and his wife Ali have said they’re “delighted” to be expecting their first child.
Ever since the couple confirmed their happy baby news on Sunday night, everyone has been sending them well-wishes and generally just getting very excited at the idea of a Dec Jr. in the world.
And that extends to the bookies, too, as they’ve granted Dec and Ali’s unborn baby an honour usually reserved for royalty!
William Hill have opened a book on Dec’s baby – which is something only done for royal babies, like the upcoming third child of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

A spokesperson for the company explained: “We normally only bet on royal babies but as Dec is showbiz royalty we are going to open a book on his baby. It will be interesting to see if we take more money on Dec & Ali’s or the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge’s baby.”
That will be interesting!
Kate and William’s third child is due next month. They’re already parents to son George, four, and two-year-old daughter Charlotte.
So far, William Hill has only released stats on the name suggestions they’ve been getting from punters, with Anthony – in honour of Dec’s telly partner Ant McPartlin – the current odds-on favourite. Or its female variation, Antonia.
Not really surprising, is it?
Other suggestions include Alphonsus, the name of Dec’s late father, and Eamonn, Dermott and Martin, in tribute to Dec’s three brothers.
The company has also taken bets on the name Anne, which is Dec’s mum’s name, and Moyra, which is the name of one of his sisters.
His other two sisters’ names, Patricia and Camalia, aren’t yet in the listings but there is still time!
Meanwhile, there are plenty of other things that punters can bet on.
William Hill’s books for Kate and William’s third baby include the baby’s gender, time of its arrival, weight and day of birth.

Dec and talent manager Ali announced their happy news on Sunday evening, after it leaked earlier in the day in a tabloid newspaper.
Alongside a beautiful picture from their wedding, Dec told fans: “Just wanted to say thank you for all the lovely messages.
“The news has sneaked out a little earlier than we had hoped but Ali and I are delighted to be expecting our first child. Thanks for all the love, we really appreciate it.”
The couple wed back in 2015 at a star-studded ceremony attended by the likes of Dec’s telly partner Ant, and fellow presenters Holly Willoughby, Phillip Schofield, Paddy McGuinness and Fearne Cotton.
They tied the knot at St Michael’s Roman Catholic Church in Dec’s native Newcastle in August, after getting engaged the previous November in Australia.
