Denise van Outen has revealed her regrets over having children in her thirties, and fears she may be too old to have a family with boyfriend Eddie Boxshall.
At 44, the TV presenter candidly revealed how she believes her eggs may have ‘shrivelled up’.
Speaking at the launch of her Loose Women co-star Andrea McLean’s new book, Confessions of a Menopausal Woman, Denise said: “I would have more kids, but I’m 44 so I don’t know. Eddie has two kids already and they are grown up.”
However, she does admit that they haven’t ruled out adding to their brood – if they can find time to be intimate in their busy working schedules!
Denise added: “If it happens, then fine, but I think probably all my eggs have shrivelled up. We are never in the right place at the right time. Every time I see him I’ve got to drop the ‘P’ word.”

She also admitted that she regrets not putting her career on hold to have children, as she reveals having her only child, daughter Betsy, now eight, with husband Lee Mead when she was 34, may have been too late.
“I was 34 when I got pregnant and in hindsight, I wish I had done it younger. It’s because my parents are older, and that’s what makes me a bit sad,” she said.
Denise further elaborated: “I put a lot into my career because I love working. At the time I thought, ‘This could end any minute’, but that’s stupid.”
She told The Sun in February that although boyfriend Eddie, who she has been dating for four years and recently moved in, is broody, she ‘goes through waves’.
“Eddie gets so broody. He would have one tomorrow if he could, but I go through waves if I’m honest,” she said.
“I’m so lucky to have Betsy but for me, it’s that thing of thinking I have to go through it all again, the sleepless nights and everything.”

Eddie also has two older sons from a previous relationship.
Denise is still on good terms with her ex Lee, and has previously revealed how the two have found a ‘balance’ in co-parenting Betsy.
Both parents are also keen to instill a good work ethic for Betsy.
She told Hello! magazine: “I’m very aware of the fact that I want to set a good example to Betsy, and I think it’s healthy for her to see that she’s got two parents who really get on, have the same job, and we sort of work it out between us.
“We just work around it, and hopefully she will grow up with a strong work ethic and understand what you put in, you get out.”
