Denise Welch is feeling pretty proud of herself, and well she should be.
The Loose Women panelist, 60, has shared a new bikini picture on Instagram, revealing she has managed to maintain her weight after losing an impressive two stone five years ago.

Alongside a snap of her back then, as well as now, she wrote: “5 yrs 6 mths ago, after replacing alcohol addiction with food, I joined @lighterlife & lost 2st 4lbs in 9 wks. I maintain to this day.”
Fans were quick to praise the former Coronation Street star, with one writing: “You look fabulous Denise,” while another added: “Nice to see you SO happy and looking as GORGEOUS as ever!!”
The actress and presenter has spoken openly in the past about replacing “alcohol addiction with a food addiction” for a spell.

But she seized control by starting a LighterLife regime and, after losing that two stone half a decade ago, has never returned to bad habits.
She told Broccoli & Brains magazine: “Until I gave up drinking, I never really had a weight problem. I’d certainly never had a sweet tooth.
“I could take or leave a dessert. But once I stopped drinking, I started getting massive sugar cravings and the weight started going on.”
But in August this year she told Lorraine: “I’m a size 12 and at 60 I feel better than I ever have before.”
Denise and her second husband Lincoln Townley have been tea-total for six years now, and she is enjoying life as a 60 year old… even if the age feels alien to her!

“I’ve got a young husband [Lincoln is 15 years her junior] which always puts a smile on my face,” she revealed earlier this year.
“Sometimes I feel every year of my 60 years, and other days I don’t at all. I have a very active, busy life, which in the main, I enjoy. I don’t know what 60 feels like!”
