Denise Welch has given fans hope she might return to Coronation Street with a tweet about the show.
The actress played Natalie Barnes from 1997 until 2000 when the character left for a new life in the Cotswolds.
Technically though, Natalie still owns half of Kevin Webster’s garage – and Denise has hinted she wants it back.

Taking to Twitter after Kev’s garage burnt down thanks to Phelan forcing Andy to commit arson, Denise had this to say:
“Half of that still belongs to Natalie!!! [sic]”
Her post prompted fans to immediately reply that they’d love nothing more than to see her back on the cobbles.
“About time she came back to claim it!” Nick Ranger tweeted her.
“Get back in the street Denise”, Wendy Powell agreed.
And Zoe Stephens added: “Now THAT would make for a good storyline!!!”
So if the viewers want it, and the storyline’s there ready and waiting, what else do we need? Let’s hope Corrie are talking to Denise right now!

Of course, the Street wasn’t Denise’s last stint in Soapland, she most recently turned up in Walford as Kyle Slater’s estranged mum, Alison.
At the time Denise described the role as “powerful” as Alison was meeting her son for the first time since he transitioned from being her daughter.
But With Kyle now departed from the Square, Denise has no ties to ‘Enders, so the time could be just right for a Corrie return.
