Danny Dyer is about to make his on-screen return to EastEnders next week.
The soap star took a month off to have a bit of a relax with his family in South Africa, amid reports he was stressed and exhausted.
And the rest has obviously done him good; the actor looks slimmed-down and fresh-faced in scenes set to air on Friday.
But there is a fly in the ointment of his fresh start.
Danny has been snubbed by the British Soap Awards, the most prestigious of ceremonies in the soap calendar.
And this news is dominating headlines as the actor prepares to make his public return.
Danny is widely regarded as THE star of EastEnders – not least by Danny himself, if rumours are to be believed.
So for the jewel in the crown not to get a nod is a bit of a blow – the 40-year-old didn’t even make the shortlist in the Best Actor category.
Steve McFadden, who plays the soap’s Phil Mitchell, has been nominated in the award.

Danny’s criticism of his colleague may now be coming back to bite him on the bum.
In an interview with the Radio Times last year, he pitched himself as better than both Steve and their co-star Adam Woodyatt, who plays Ian Beale,
“Adam Woodyatt has played one role. No disrespect to Adam, but that’s not an actor,” he said. “He’s very, very efficient, but he’s auditioned once in his whole career. And acting’s about auditioning.
“And Steve McFadden brilliant – but only ever played one role.”

Unfortunately for Danny, it’s the EastEnders role alone the BSA care about.
Thank goodness rumours of tension on set between Danny and his co-stars have been denied by the show, or this latest news could cause issues…
