Disgraced superstar’s doctor demands £230,000 for I’m A Celebrity

Will he be worth the money for his potential revelations?

Is there a doctor in the house?

It looks like there could be one in the Australian jungle next month if the latest I’m A Celebrity rumour is true.

It has been reported that Michael Jackson’s former doctor Conrad Murray is heading for the ITV series.

What’s more, he could be prescribed with a whopping £230,000 pay packet for doing so.

It had been previously reported that the 63-year-old had look to receive a cool £200k but he now wants more, due to his “medical skills.”

Speaking to the Daily Star, a source said: “Murray is trying to pull out all the stops to get more money.

“He thinks that ITV can help solve his finance issues.

“And the doctor idea is one of the ways that he feels that they can bolster his money.

“Murray has also promised that he will reveal secrets about Jackson to help make the show ‘explosive’ and gain headlines worldwide.”

Well, he is certainly well placed to speak about what happened behind closed doors in the King of Pop’s house.

The disgraced physician gained notoriety after Michael Jackson’s death in 2009.

He was eventually banned from practising medicine and convicted of manslaughter for his role in Jacko’s passing.

Conrad has always pleaded his innocence: “I was an innocent man unjustly accused and then incarcerated.”

There have been claims that Michael Jackson’s son Prince had written to ITV, asking for Conrad to not appear.

It seems though that he may get his wish.

An ITV spokesman said: “We have never approached this man to be a contestant on I’m A Celebrity.”
